New interchange coming to Route 10, I-295

TRI CITIES (WWBT) - Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Commissioner Greg Whirley approved a contract yesterday valued at $11.7 million for Richmond area construction.

Curtis Contracting, Inc of West Point was awarded a contract to complete the first phase of a new interchange on I-295 at Meadowville Road (Route 618) to provide access to the Meadowville Technology Park in Chesterfield County.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA (WWBT) - People living in Chesterfield wanting to hop on board with plans for a high-speed rail in Virginia get their chance to talk Tuesday.

That meeting will allow you the opportunity to sound off on the possibility of some changes to the way you drive around the county, as well as the possible increase in the number of trains set to run through some of your backyards.
