Police looking for two suspects in Chesterfield robbery | News

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT)- Chesterfield Police are on the look-out for two men said to be involved in a frightening robbery. It happened around 9:40pm Sunday night in the Tree Top condominiums on Castlewood Road.  

Police say the suspects, armed with guns, pushed their way into the home demanding money. Luckily, no one was hurt but the it made for a scary night for the three people in the home at the time.

 "They heard a knock on the door, they went to the door," said Lt. Randy Horowitz with the Chesterfield Police Department. "When they opened the door, two men forced their way into the residence."

Police said the suspects were wearing stockings, waving guns, and demanding money. They report that the suspects did get away with money, but won't say how much. 

The victims asked to remain anonymous, because they say they are scared for the lives. They worry whoever broke into their home may be watching. 

Another neighbor, also scared said, "Just think, a neighbor coming home could have gotten shot, a neighbor leaving could have gotten shot, someone just talking a walk, even walking their dog could have gotten shot."

The neighbor said the victims led a lifestyle that involved a lot of traffic in and out of the apartment, so she's not surprised they opened the door for someone knocking.

All the same, the incident has many here thinking twice.

"That's frightening," sighed the neighbor. "That's very frightening. Any of us could have gotten shot because of what occurred there.

Police say both suspects were last seen in dark clothing and stocking caps, between 25 to 35 years.

One is said to be 6'4" with a thin build and light complexion. Police said he may have gold teeth. 

The second suspect is described as 5'7" with a stocky build and dark complexion.
