Richmond man drowns in Swift Creek
CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT)- A Richmond man drowned in Swift Creek Monday evening, according to Chesterfield police.
Rescue divers pulled 50-year-old Edward L. Mason from the creek around 7:20 p.m. Monday near the 100 block of Lakeside Drive in Colonial Heights. The call initially came in for a man who had gone under and not resurfaced while swimming in Swift Creek.
Mason was transported to Southside Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
