Bonuses vote deferred until Nov. 17
Posted by Shawn Maclauchlan
RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The Chesterfield Board of Supervisors is holding off on giving County workers a one time, 3-percent bonus before the end of the year.
Wednesday afternoon, the panel voted to defer the issue until November 17.
The chairman is still in favor of the bonus but wants the budget office to put together a presentation on where the extra money will come from.
The bonuses became possible after the county found an additional $28 million in the budget.
Only about $4.7 million of that would go toward the bonuses.
