Local yoga class bends to help homeless pets

Local yoga class bends to help homeless pets

A yoga studio took it upon itself on Friday to host a benefit class for a local animal shelter, Richmond Animal League (RAL).

The yoga class, led by Linda McDorman at Solid Ground Yoga, raised $200 and collected various needed supplies, such as pet food, toys, and other animal necessities for RAL.

McDorman decided on RAL because she has several friends who have adopted from or volunteer with the shelter.  She rescued her current pets and says she likes that RAL is a “no-kill” organization focusing on finding homes for animals.
