Chesterfield Community High School hosts author luncheon

CHESTERFIELD (WWBT) - The student book group at Chesterfield Community High School hosted author Stephanie Perry Moore for a luncheon on Friday, September 24, 2010.  Stephanie, a former Chesterfield resident and student at Matoaca High School, has published 35 novels for young girls, teens and adults. All her novels are Christian based and revolve around relationships, peer pressure, family dynamics, and friendships. 

One group of 11, read the novel, "Work What You Got," from the Beta Gamma Pi series, and the other group of 17, read different novels from the Peyton Skky and Perry Skky, Jr. series.  Students were impressed by the way the novels dealt with real life situations. 

Architecture Tour at Chesterfield Courthouse Green

CHESTERFIELD (WWBT) - The Chesterfield Historical Society will lead a tour discussing the architecture of the Chesterfield Green at the Chesterfield County Government Complex. 

The tour will be on Saturday, September 18 from 2 PM until 4 PM and will start from the Chesterfield County Museum at 6813 Mimms Loop.
