Gregory Nelson Jr. to face capital murder charge

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) – A grand jury has upgraded the charge against a Chesterfield man accused of murdering his pregnant mistress.

Henrico County Commonwealth's Attorney Wade Kizer told NBC12 today that a multi jurisdictional grand jury has indicted Gregory L. Nelson, Jr. for capital murder, a charge which carries the possibility of the death penalty upon conviction.

Nelson, 27, is accused in the March 9 stabbing death of Susana Cisneros, 24, a former Chipotle co-worker who family members say was nine months pregnant with Nelson's child. Her bloody body was discovered in a W. Broad Street restaurant parking lot. Until now, Nelson faced charges of first degree murder and premeditated murder of a fetus.

The capital murder indictment indicates that prosecutors plan to provide evidence to show that by killing Cisneros, Nelson intended to kill the unborn child as well.

Facebook ‘likes’ can earn the chance to visit a child in need across the globe

The average Facebook user spends nearly an hour a day on the social networking site and ChildFund International has created a way for anyone to turn those hours into the trip of a lifetime.

The organization, which creates one-to-one connections through child sponsorships, is rolling out a Facebook promotion called “The Experience of a Lifetime.” The promotion, which runs from May 31 to June 30, offers a unique opportunity for one lucky winner to travel across the world to meet his or her sponsored child.

If the promotion winner does not sponsor a child, he or she will win a paid, four-day escorted tour (including all travel, means and accommodations) to a ChildFund program in Asia, Africa or the Americas.

“We love sharing children’s photos, videos and stories on Facebook, but we know there’s nothing that moves you more than seeing the real thing,” said Anne Lynam Goddard, ChildFund president and CEO. “With just a few clicks on Facebook, one person will be rewarded with the experience of a lifetime.”

Man accused of abusing his elderly father, he accuses caretaker

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - A Chesterfield man denies allegations he abused or neglected his elderly bedridden father and said another caretaker is to blame.

Coretta Creighton is charged with felony neglect of an incapacitated adult. She surrendered last week and is out on bond. The man's son, Ricky Wyatt, is charged with the same crime but said he had no idea.

Wyatt hasn't been arrested. He was surprised to see me asking questions about a direct indictment against him.

Wyatt said Coretta Creighton was hired to care for his 71-year-old father several years ago, but was only out for his dad's money.

Wyatt is accused of abusing his 71-year-old father, Hugh Wyatt, Junior, in January. Police tell us the elderly man called 911 saying he was tangled in his bedclothes and evidence showed dehydration and extensive bed sores.
